Ile-Ife to Host National Inauguration of ATSO Executives

Akahi News gathered that the meeting had in attendance prominent outstanding members who all contributed meaningfully towards ATSO progress. The highlight of the evening was the discussion around the privilege given to ATSO Ile-Ife to host the national body of the Association in this year’s inauguration exercise.

According to the Chairman of the Association, Mr Adedoyin Ademola of Demol Educational Institute, members will be grouped to act in different capacities to ensure adequate and proper planning towards the inauguration of new National Executive Members and All States Executive Members scheduled for the 29th and 30th of April, 2026.

It was alleged that members were tasked to pay a little levy as will be communicated only on the Association WhatsApp Group, accessible exclusively to members for perusal. This internal fundraising approach is designed to ensure that the hosting responsibility does not become a financial burden on any single individual.

Hosting a national inauguration is no small feat. It requires logistics, coordination, funding, and the cooperation of every member. ATSO Ile-Ife appears to be taking this responsibility seriously, breaking members into committees and assigning clear roles.

The meeting had in attendance over 18 active members out of over 50 registered tutorial centres in Ile-Ife. That represents a significant turnout for an online meeting, especially one called on short notice. It suggests that members are engaged and committed to the association’s growth.

A Growing Association With National Ambitions

Akahi News had earlier reported that ATSO has been building momentum in Ile-Ife, bringing together tutorial school operators who previously worked in isolation. The association provides a platform for sharing best practices, addressing common challenges, and presenting a united front to regulators and the public.

The decision to entrust Ile-Ife with hosting the national inauguration is a vote of confidence from the national body. It recognises the chapter’s organisational strength and its capacity to deliver a seamless event.

It is not a child’s play to host a national gathering of tutorial school operators from across Nigeria. Accommodation must be arranged. Venues must be secured. Programmes must be designed. And all of it must be done on a budget that members can afford.

Mr Adedoyin Ademola’s leadership will be tested in the coming weeks. Grouping members into different capacities is a smart move, but execution is everything. Will the committees deliver? Will members pay the required levies? Will the inauguration go off without a hitch?

For the 18 active members who attended Saturday’s meeting, the answers to these questions are still unfolding. But one thing is certain: they are not sitting back. They are planning. They are contributing. They are building.

The inauguration of new National Executive Members and All States Executive Members on the 29th and 30th of April, 2026, will be a landmark moment for ATSO. And Ile-Ife will be at the centre of it all.

For tutorial school operators across Nigeria, the eyes of the sector will be on the ancient city. For the members of ATSO Ile-Ife, the pressure is on to prove that they are worthy hosts.

Based on the energy displayed at Saturday’s meeting, they are up to the task.

Congratulations to the Chairman, Mr Adedoyin Ademola, and to every member who logged in at 9pm on a Saturday to move the association forward. That is commitment. That is leadership. That is ATSO.
