Prominent activist and human rights advocate, Deji Adeyanju, has raised alarm over the abduction of Onyedom Peace Udoka and her sister, urging Nigeria’s security agencies to act swiftly to ensure their safe release.

Activist Expresses Deep Concern
In a statement issued on Sunday, Adeyanju described the incident as “truly terrifying,” calling for immediate intervention by the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other relevant security bodies.
“I call on the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, and other responsible agencies to act without delay to secure the release of Onyedom Peace Udoka and her sister from their abductors,” Adeyanju said.
He added that he remained hopeful for the sisters’ safety and their safe return to their family.
Growing Concern Over Rising Insecurity
Akahi News gathered that the incident has sparked fresh concerns about rising cases of abduction across parts of the country, with civil society groups repeatedly calling for tougher measures to curb the trend.
Security experts have stressed the need for improved intelligence gathering, better coordination among security agencies, and community involvement to combat kidnapping and related crimes effectively.

As of the time of this report, neither the Nigeria Police Force nor the DSS had issued an official statement on the case. However, sources within security circles hinted that efforts may already be underway to track the kidnappers and rescue the victims.
