Deputy Governor’s Official Visit to Yala LGA: Full Itinerary Released

The Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State is set to host the Deputy Governor on Thursday, 28th August, 2025, with a series of official engagements lined up.

According to a statement issued by the Protocol Unit on the directive of the Executive Chairman of Yala LGA, Hon. Dr. Fred Okem, the visit is designed to foster community engagement and strengthen ties between the state government and the people of Yala.

Programme of Events

The official itinerary for the Deputy Governor’s visit is as follows:

CRUSH OAU POST UTME, OAU PRE-DEGREE, OAU JUPEB At Akahi Tutors, Ile-Ife. Call 08038644328.
  • 10:00 AM – Visit to St. Paul’s Primary School, Wanakom Ward, Ukelle
  • 1:00 PM – Launch at Mr. John Okputu’s Residence, Izakwe North Ukelle
  • 2:00 PM – Courtesy Visit at Christ the King Catholic Church (CKC), Okpoma
  • 4:00 PM – Departure

Call for Participation

The statement further urged stakeholders, traditional rulers, community leaders, and residents of Yala to come out in their numbers to accord the Deputy Governor a warm and befitting reception.

The visit is expected to highlight government’s commitment to grassroots development while fostering unity and collaboration across communities in Yala.
