The meeting, which draws participation from various parishes under the deanery, aims to foster synergy and deepen commitment among members entrusted with the delicate responsibility of disseminating the truth of the Gospel through modern channels of communication. As reiterated in the official notice released by the Deanery Coordinator, Engr. Oni E. O., a maximum of four representatives per parish are expected to attend the gathering.

Parish coordinators have been duly advised to mobilise their members and ensure effective representation at the event, which continues to serve as a platform for evaluating progress, sharing insights, and reinforcing best practices in Church communication.

The Social Communication Apostolate, often referred to as the Voice of the Church, plays an increasingly vital role in the digital age, ensuring that the Church’s message of truth, justice, peace, and salvation is not only preserved but projected with clarity and relevance across all media.

This meeting also offers an opportunity for dialogue, learning, and spiritual renewal for members who labour behind the scenes in the ministry of media. It reflects the Church’s recognition of the growing influence of digital and traditional communication tools in evangelisation, pastoral outreach, and the overall mission of the Church in Nigeria and beyond.

Today’s gathering is expected to feature reflections on pastoral communication strategies, recent challenges in media ministry, and plans for future diocesan-wide engagements.

As the participants converge under one roof, the Holy Mass serves not just as a liturgical opening but as a spiritual grounding that sets the tone for discernment, fellowship, and renewed dedication to the Church’s communicative mandate.

The Deanery Coordinator concluded the invitation with a note of encouragement and faith, saying: “Thanks, and God bless our efforts of faith.”
