IGP Egbetokun Elevates Police Medical Section to Directorate Status in Landmark Reform

In a move described as historic and far-reaching, the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has approved the upgrade of the Nigeria Police Force Medical Section to a full-fledged Directorate of Medical Services.
The announcement was contained in a press release shared on the official Facebook page of the Nigeria Police Force on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, and signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
