JAMB Delists 23 CBT Centres Ahead of 2026 UTME – Full List Released

Akahi News learnt that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has delisted 23 Computer-Based Test centres nationwide ahead of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. The affected centres span multiple states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The board’s decision is effective immediately, and candidates whose centres appear on the list have been directed to reprint their examination slips without delay. When a CBT centre is delisted this close to the examination, panic is inevitable. But JAMB is sending a clear message: substandard facilities will not be tolerated.

What exactly led to these delistings? The board has not provided specific details for each centre, but past delistings have been linked to poor infrastructure, inadequate computers, network failures, and in some cases, examination malpractice. Whatever the reasons, affected candidates must act fast.

Full List of Delisted CBT Centres by State

Akahi News gathered that the delisted centres are spread across Abia, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, FCT, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, and Plateau states. Below is the complete list as released by the board.

Osun State: Oduduwa University CBT Centre, Ile-Ife

Plateau State: Rabjib Computer Academy CBT Centre, Jos

It was alleged that the delisting of Oduduwa University CBT Centre in Ile-Ife will particularly affect candidates in the ancient city. Oduduwa University is a well-known private institution, and its centre being delisted suggests that even established universities are not immune from JAMB’s scrutiny.

Lagos State has the highest number of affected centres with five—Ejigbo, Lakowe, Ikorodu (two centres), and Lekki. Candidates in these areas must move quickly to secure alternative centres.

Candidates Must Reprint Examination Slips Immediately

JAMB has issued a clear directive: if your centre is listed above, you are to reprint your examination slip immediately. The board will reassign affected candidates to approved CBT centres. Failure to reprint could mean showing up at a centre that no longer exists—at least not for UTME purposes.

Akahi News had earlier reported on JAMB’s zero-tolerance policy for substandard CBT centres. In previous years, the board had delisted centres for reasons ranging from poor internet connectivity to inadequate power supply to outright fraud. The message is consistent: if you cannot provide a standard testing environment, you will not host JAMB candidates.

It is not a child’s play to prepare for UTME. Candidates spend months studying, parents spend fortunes on registration and tuition, and the entire future of a young person can hinge on a few hours of examination. A centre that fails on exam day does not just inconvenience students. It destroys dreams.

JAMB’s decision to delist these 23 centres now—ahead of the examination—is preferable to allowing them to operate and fail on the day. The board has given affected candidates time to reprint and adjust. That is responsible regulation.

But for candidates who have been preparing to write at a now-delisted centre, the news is stressful. A new centre means a new location, possibly unfamiliar, possibly farther from home. Transportation arrangements may need to change. Anxiety levels may spike.

JAMB should provide clear guidance on how and when affected candidates can access their new centres. The reprinting process must be seamless. And the board must ensure that the replacement centres are truly up to standard—not just a different name on the same list of problems.

For now, candidates are advised to visit the nearest JAMB office or accredited CBT centre to reprint their slips. Do not wait until the last minute. Do not assume your centre will be reinstated. The list is out. The decision is final. Reprint now.

The 2026 UTME is a critical gatekeeping examination for millions of Nigerian students. Every candidate deserves a fair chance in a properly equipped environment. JAMB has taken a step toward that goal. Now affected candidates must take the next step: reprint, relocate, and refocus.
