Lucky Udu Blasts Critics in Explosive Facebook Post, Defends His Role in Supporting Sky B

A Dramatic Outburst on Facebook
Prominent Nigerian videographer and storyteller, Lucky Udu, has unleashed a fiery outburst on his verified Facebook page, laying bare his grievances against fellow content creators whom he accuses of tarnishing his name. The lengthy post, which has stirred intense online conversations, is packed with allegations, personal confessions, emotional appeals, and even a litany of curses directed at those he believes have plotted to destroy his reputation.

Akahi News gathered that Lucky Udu’s post centred around his strained relationship with a once-viral singer, Sky B, and the subsequent fallout that appears to have damaged both trust and reputation among stakeholders in Nigeria’s entertainment and content creation circles.
Lucky Udu’s Defence Against Allegations
In his post, Lucky Udu addressed accusations that he allegedly mishandled money belonging to Sky B, insisting that the narrative being peddled against him is false and malicious. He pointed out that similar rumours had once been circulated when a Kenyan woman falsely claimed that Burna Boy had channelled funds to her through him, which later turned out to be untrue. According to Lucky Udu, this is yet another attempt by so-called Edo content creators to soil his name with unfounded stories.
Akahi News reports that Lucky Udu painstakingly recounted the many ways he supported Sky B during his moment of revival:
- He allegedly booked and paid for the artist’s flight tickets to and from Abuja.
- He bought Sky B a brand-new phone and gave him some additional financial support.
- He lodged the artist in a hotel for nearly a week and covered his welfare expenses.
- He sponsored a media tour to give Sky B renewed exposure.
- He promoted the singer on social media until Sky B’s accounts grew to 100,000 followers on Facebook, 15,000 followers on Instagram, and 5,000 followers on TikTok.
Despite these efforts, Lucky Udu lamented that the singer later became unavailable, sold off the new phone, allegedly changed his phone number, and even sold his social media account to another individual — reportedly to fuel a drug habit.
Accusations of Drug Abuse and Abandonment
One of the more explosive claims in Lucky Udu’s post was his assertion that Sky B struggled with substance abuse. He alleged that his private investigations revealed that the singer was battling with drug addiction, a discovery that prompted him to make a video calling for the artist to seek rehabilitation.
Akahi News gathered that Lucky Udu expressed frustration that, despite his call for support, public donations towards Sky B’s rehabilitation barely reached ₦40,000 — with most supporters unwilling to contribute after earlier donations directly to the singer had yielded little accountability.
Adding to the drama, Lucky Udu revealed that Sky B’s family pleaded with him not to give up on the troubled musician, but no concrete support came from their end either. He complained bitterly that he could not be expected to leave his base in Abuja repeatedly to escort the singer, who was based in Lagos, to rehabilitation facilities.
The Curses and Emotional Outpouring
Beyond defending himself, Lucky Udu’s post carried a heavy emotional tone, bordering on poetic lamentation and rage. He declared that those who sought to bring him down would face dire consequences, invoking spiritual forces and issuing harsh curses on his accusers and their families.
Some of his words included:
- “May the gods that watch over the forgotten remember this day.”
- “Let the womb that carried me bear witness to my silence. Let the pain that made me father myself and mother myself rise and speak for me.”
- “From this day, may the truth you twisted twist your destiny and that of your loved ones.”
- “As I slept hungry and cried in silence, let your laughter turn bitter in your mouth.”
The videographer portrayed himself as a man who had suffered neglect in childhood, growing up without parents, and therefore taking it as a personal mission to help struggling talents like Sky B. He claimed his critics mocked his pain and exploited his generosity, a betrayal he swore would not go unanswered.
Content Creators in the Line of Fire
In the same post, Lucky Udu specifically mentioned “Brother Mike” and “other creators” — though not all by name — accusing them of working deliberately to destroy his life and legacy. He went as far as to say that peace would flee from their homes, that their children would reap the bitterness they sowed, and that everything they attempted would spoil before completion.
Akahi News notes that such spiritual and emotional pronouncements have sparked debate, with some social media users sympathising with his plight, while others see his words as an overreaction.
Unverified Claims and the Need for Balance
While Lucky Udu’s emotional outburst provides insight into his frustrations, Akahi News must note that many of the allegations — including Sky B’s alleged drug use, sale of devices, and disposal of social media accounts — remain unverified. No official statement has been issued by Sky B or his representatives at the time of filing this report.
As is often the case in Nigeria’s social media space, personal disputes quickly become public spectacles, and facts are sometimes blurred in the process. Analysts warn that without independent evidence, such claims should be treated cautiously, as social media narratives can be heavily one-sided.
The Larger Picture
This saga sheds light on the challenges of Nigeria’s content creation and entertainment ecosystem:
- Exploitation vs. Support – While some entertainers genuinely benefit from the help of influencers like Lucky Udu, disputes over money and accountability often taint goodwill efforts.
- Social Media Amplification – Allegations, whether true or false, can quickly spiral beyond control, as was the case with the Burna Boy rumour Lucky Udu referenced.
- Mental Health and Addiction – If the claims about Sky B are accurate, they point to the often-overlooked struggles entertainers face with drugs and mental health, and the absence of sustainable support systems.
- Public Sympathy Fatigue – As Lucky Udu pointed out, donors appeared reluctant to contribute further after earlier funds allegedly yielded no results, raising issues of transparency and trust in fundraising for struggling celebrities.
Lucky Udu’s post is both a defence of his integrity and a passionate cry from someone who feels deeply wronged. While his words may strike some as extreme, they highlight the deep emotional toll that comes with trying to uplift others in an unforgiving environment where suspicion, betrayal, and misinformation abound.
Akahi News will continue to follow this developing story, especially if Sky B or the other accused creators choose to respond publicly to the weighty accusations levelled against them. For now, Lucky Udu’s Facebook post stands as a raw, unfiltered record of his pain, his grievances, and his curses.

Below is Dr Lucky Udu’s Write-up
May the gods that watch over the forgotten remember this day!!!! Chai! You guys are evil! This is how that Kenyan lady came out to say Burna boy gave me money to give her and that was entirely false but it was these Edo content creators that still spread that misinformation and made it sound true. If I tell you how much of a liar Sky B is, you won’t understand. Why would I take money that doesn’t belong to me? For someone I booked flight to and fro to go film, bought him new phone and gave him some money, still flew him to Abuja, paid his hotel for almost one week alongside other artist, still took him for media tour. I promoted Sky B till he got 100k followers on Facebook, 15k on instagram and 5k on TikTok. People had so much complain about Sky B, I did my investigation and discovered he takes dr*g, I made a honest video to say that Sky b has issues that nobody knows about and he needs help for rehab. People who reached out to support him didn’t even contribute up to 40k because people had previously donated to him directly from the first viral video. Sky B later became unavailable, sold the phone I bought for him and even changed his line and later sold his social media account to another guy just to get money for drugs. His family kept begging me not to give up on him but no one was willing to even offer anything to help him, they were far away in Lagos but expected me to leave Abuja again and take
Him to rehab. Now you guys are coming to ruin my name for something I didn’t do. Brother Mike and all the other creators whose name I don’t know that are working towards bringing my name down, I curse you all. “Let the womb that carried me bear witness to my silence. Let the pain that made me father myself and mother myself rise and speak for me.
You guys mocked the cry of a child that nobody raised. You used your tongue to scatter what I bled to build but yet you prosper everyday and you merry with your family and enjoy blessings.
From this day, may the truth you twisted twist your destiny and that of your loved ones.
May the lies you sowed destroy your life lines!
May your children drink from the bitterness you poured for me.
I call on the spirit of every child who was left behind but survived…
Let your name be remembered in ruin, until you kneel to confess your wrong and serve strangers selflessly for 7years, you and your loved ones will never be free from my curse!
Everything you do will spoil before it finishes.
The God of orphans will take away your pride, whatever gives you happiness you will loose them one by one.
All of you working against me with no evidence because you want to ruin my life and even the ghe ghe himself, peace will run away from your houses. Shame find your children where success should have meet them. Keep on merrying, your doom will come in the evening. As I walk alone with no father, let your helpers leave you one by one. As I begged God when I had no one, let your prayers become dust in the air.
As I slept hungry and cried in silence,
Let your laughter turn bitter in your mouth.
If I have done anything wrong, may it return to me.
But if I speak it truly, let the ground you walk on carry my pain to your doorstep.
I have done nothing wrong to deserve all these, I don’t know either of you neither do I know your families, whoever stands with you shall share your mystery.
