Married Woman Dies in Guest House After Alleged Affair, Husband Speaks Out

Tragedy struck after a woman identified as Paulina, married for 15 years with three children, was found dead in a guest house where she allegedly lodged with another man.

Akahi News gathered that Paulina reportedly sneaked out of her marital home around 10pm for the rendezvous. Her husband, an okada rider, returned to find their children hungry and unattended. He said the children informed him that their mother had left moments earlier.

Husband’s Account of Events

The grieving husband explained that he tried calling his wife, but her phone was switched off. After feeding the children, he waited in vain for her return before heading to the police station the following morning to report her disappearance.

“At the station, I was told an unidentified woman had been found dead at a guest house, and when I went to confirm, it was my wife,” he recounted.

According to police reports, Paulina had checked into the lodge with another man. After spending the night together, the man allegedly left, claiming he was going to buy food, but never returned. She was later discovered lifeless in the room.

Family Dispute Over Burial and Children

The husband disclosed that despite enduring infidelity throughout their marriage, he never stopped loving his wife. However, he expressed dismay that her family is now allegedly attempting to take custody of the children and claim her body for burial.

“We were married for 15 years. Though I had not paid her dowry, she was my wife. I was planning to do so. I never mistreated her,” he said.

The circumstances surrounding Paulina’s death remain under investigation as police continue to trace the man she lodged with on the night of the incident.
