“We are under attack. We will not budge to short-term pressure, as it will not be in the best interest of Nigerians. You cannot drive change without a price, and the transformation is tough,” Ojulari said.

He emphasised that patience from Nigerians would be crucial in order to achieve lasting reforms that will benefit the nation. The GCEO reiterated his resolve to deliver on the mandate given by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the revival of Nigeria’s refineries has been prioritised under his leadership.

Ojulari further explained that the Incorporated Joint Venture (IJV) model was being considered to ensure the refineries operate sustainably, rather than resorting to superficial quick fixes.

Earlier, PENGASSAN President, Comrade Festus Osifo, commended the milestones achieved by Ojulari’s administration, including improved pipeline functionality and a significant reduction in crude oil theft. He assured that the union remains committed to working with the NNPC for the stability and growth of the sector.

Ojulari, who expressed gratitude for the union’s support, declared:

“The enemies of this company and Nigerians will not win.”
