OAU Announces 2025 Post-UTME Registration for Direct Entry Candidates
The management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has announced that registration for the 2025 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (PUTME) screening exercise for Direct Entry (DE) candidates will commence on Monday, 4th August, 2025.
In an official notice, the institution clarified that, unlike Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates, DE applicants will not undergo any additional written screening test. Instead, the process will focus solely on verifying the academic credentials uploaded during registration.
To successfully complete the process, candidates are required to follow these steps:
- Ensure they have duly registered through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and selected OAU as their institution of choice.
- Request for the official transcript from their previous institution to be sent to OAU.
- Apply through the OAU Post-UTME/DE portal within the stipulated registration period.
The university urged all prospective applicants to adhere strictly to the outlined procedures, warning that incomplete or late submissions could jeopardise their admission prospects.
