OAUTHC Opens Admission for 2025/2026 Nursing Programmes

The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, has announced the commencement of its admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session into its prestigious National/Higher National Diploma (ND/HND) in Nursing and Post Basic Perioperative Nursing programmes.

This announcement comes as the institution, widely regarded for producing highly skilled nursing professionals, seeks to maintain its long-standing tradition of excellence in health education.
National/Higher National Diploma (ND/HND) in Nursing
The ND/HND Nursing programme is designed for aspiring nurses who wish to undergo comprehensive training combining academic instruction with hands-on clinical experience.
Admission Requirements
- Applicants must possess a Senior School Certificate from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB with five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- NABTEB results cannot be combined with any other examination results.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old by January 2025.
Application Procedure
- UTME Requirement – Applicants must have sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), scored at least 180, and chosen OAUTHC College of Nursing Sciences (Ife Hospital Unit, Ile-Ife or Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa) as their first choice.
- Subject Combination – UTME subjects must include English Language, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
- Possible Posting – Successful candidates may be admitted into either the Ife Hospital Unit or the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa Campus.
Post-UTME Screening for 2025/2026
The Post-UTME screening exercise will be open to:
- Candidates with a UTME score of 180 and above who made OAUTHC their first choice.
- Candidates willing to change their institution to OAUTHC as their first choice.
All candidates must:
- Upload their O’Level results on the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
- Complete their application via the official website: www.oauthc.gov.ng.
Application Fees
Applicants are to pay a total of ₦15,000.00, which includes:
- ₦2,000.00 – Post-UTME screening fee
- ₦13,000.00 – Portal access fee (covers portal access, checking screening date/venue, admission status, and printing of admission letter).
Payment should be made to the College’s account via a generated Remita.
Mode of Screening
The Post-UTME will be conducted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
Important Dates
- Closing Date for Applications – Friday, 15th August, 2025
- Computer-Based Test – Tuesday, 26th August – Wednesday, 27th August, 2025
