Peller Appeals for Public Support to Fix Damaged Mercedes Benz, Says Repairs Will Cost ₦11 Million
Popular TikTok streamer and content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has appealed to his fans and followers for financial assistance to repair his damaged Mercedes Benz SUV, disclosing that the cost of fixing the luxury vehicle has been estimated at ₦11 million.
Akahi News gathered that the appeal was made during a recent TikTok live session, weeks after the influencer was involved in a controversial road accident that left the vehicle badly damaged and led to his hospitalisation.
Shock Over Repair Cost, Seeks Fans’ Help
According to details obtained by Akahi News, Peller told viewers during the livestream that he was stunned by the repair estimate and admitted that he has been unable to fix the vehicle due to financial constraints.
“They told me fixing my car would cost 11 million naira. I haven’t fixed it because the money is too much. I thought maybe my fans who love me can help me. I never imagined it would cost this much,” he said.
The content creator explained that the high cost was the main reason the Mercedes Benz has remained unrepaired, adding that he only recently returned to social media after taking time off to recover emotionally from the incident.
‘The Accident Affected Me Mentally and Financially’
Peller went on to make a direct appeal to viewers watching the livestream, urging those who were in a position to assist to support him financially.
“This accident affected me mentally and financially. If anyone can support me, it will go a long way. I really need help to get my car back on the road,” he added.
Akahi News learnt that the accident occurred in December 2025 along the Lekki–Epe Expressway while the influencer was on a live broadcast, a development that sparked nationwide reactions and concern across social media.
Possible Legal Consequences After Lekki–Epe Crash
Following the incident, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Lagos State Police Command reportedly indicated that Peller could face prosecution for reckless and distracted driving.
In the aftermath of the crash, the streamer issued public apologies to Jarvis’ family and Nigerians at large, expressing regret over the incident and acknowledging the risks associated with distracted driving.
Mixed Reactions Trail Crowdfunding Appeal
Reactions to Peller’s crowdfunding appeal have continued to trend online, with opinions sharply divided. While some fans have expressed willingness to support him financially, others have questioned the decision to seek public donations to repair a luxury vehicle.
As of the time of filing this report, Akahi News gathered that Peller has not disclosed whether he has received any significant financial contributions towards the ₦11 million repair cost.
