Rev. Fr Peter Adeyemi Inspires Hope and Strength in Morning Prayer Message to Faithful.

In a deeply moving morning message delivered on Wednesday, 16th July 2025, from the prayer desk of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Pro-Cathedral, Lagere, Ile-Ife, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Peter Adeyemi, uplifted hearts with a spirit-filled exhortation and intercessory prayer.
Addressing the faithful with warmth and pastoral care, Rev. Fr Adeyemi opened his message with the comforting words of Psalm 23, reminding believers of the unfailing providence of God: “The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I shall want… He revives my drooping spirit.” These verses, he noted, serve as a beacon of hope for all who entrust their daily struggles to the Good Shepherd.
In a prayer marked by both gratitude and supplication, the cleric thanked God for the gift of life and the grace to commune with Him. “Before we begin this day,” he prayed, “we offer our praise and thanksgiving for the gift of a new day and all the good things in it for us.”
Rev. Fr Adeyemi went on to invoke divine guidance and protection for all engaging in their daily labours, asking the Lord to “lift us above our problems and difficulties” and “give us the wisdom and strength to perform our duties diligently.” He further called upon God to enrich His people with the spiritual gifts of faith, hope, and love—qualities he described as essential to carrying the peace and joy of Christ into the world.
The prayer concluded with a heartfelt blessing for the faithful, as the priest offered intercession for all intentions presented to God through Christ.
