Rev. Fr Peter Adeyemi Offers Morning Prayer for Divine Blessings and Protection
By Joseph Iyaji | Akahi News
In a heartfelt message from the prayer desk of Rev. Fr Peter Adeyemi, Catholics and Christians across the globe have been urged to begin their day with praise, thanksgiving, and a plea for divine guidance.
Sharing his morning prayer reflection, Rev. Fr Adeyemi invited the faithful to seek God’s blessings as they embark on the day’s activities, reminding believers that “early in the morning we rise up to praise and thank you for granting us a restful night.”
A Prayer of Gratitude and Guidance
The priest opened his message with a prayer of gratitude:
“O God, be gracious and bless us and let your face shed its light upon us. So will your ways be known upon the earth and all nations learn your saving help.”
This, he explained, was not only a call to thanksgiving but also a plea for divine direction, echoing the Psalmist’s cry for God’s face to shine upon His people (Psalm 67:1-2).
He encouraged Christians to begin each day by acknowledging the gift of life, health, and purpose, asking God to sanctify the day and guide every step taken.
Seeking the Lord’s Presence in Daily Activities
In his intercession, Rev. Fr Adeyemi prayed for the light and love of Christ to fill the hearts of all believers as they go about their work, businesses, and daily engagements.
“Lord Jesus, the source of holiness and grace, send your light and love into our hearts as we go about our activities this day. You are the Alpha and Omega, our first beginning and our end; be the foundation of all we shall do today and help us to bring them to a happy conclusion,” he prayed.
The priest emphasised that Christ is the foundation of true success and urged Christians to invite Him into all their endeavours, ensuring that “as we labour, we do not labour in vain.”
A Call for Divine Protection and Productivity
Rev. Fr Adeyemi’s prayer also called upon the God of power and might to be present throughout the day, protecting believers from harm and making their work fruitful.
He specifically prayed for God’s divine presence, blessings, and protection, noting that only with the Lord’s guidance can human efforts yield lasting results and fulfilment.
“God of power and might, let your divine presence go with us as we go out this day. Guide us, bless us, and protect us. As we labour, do not allow us to labour in vain. Make our labour productive and fruitful. Lift us above our problems and difficulties,” he said.
Praying for the Intentions of the Faithful
In his closing remarks, Rev. Fr Adeyemi assured Christians that he was also praying for their personal intentions, urging them to remain steadfast in faith and committed to the things of God.
The message, shared early this morning, has already drawn positive reactions from the faithful, with many describing it as “spiritually uplifting and refreshing.”
A Timely Reminder for Believers
Religious commentators told Akahi News that prayers like this remind Christians of the importance of starting each day with God, especially in a world filled with uncertainties and challenges.
The call to invite God’s presence into daily life is seen as both a spiritual and practical approach to living a life of faith, hope, and perseverance.
Akahi News gathered that Rev. Fr Peter Adeyemi has continued to use his platform to provide daily spiritual nourishment, strengthening the faith of Catholics and Christians across the region.
