Rev. Fr. Pius Odekunle Delivers Powerful Message on “Knowing God” at Monthly Prayer Adoration Programme
Olode, Osun State — In a deeply moving May edition of the Monthly Prayer Adoration Programme, Rev. Fr. Pius Odekunle, the Parish Priest of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Olode, delivered a powerful message centered on the theme of “Knowing God.” The programme, known for its spiritual intensity, healing miracles, and powerful deliverances, continues to draw worshippers from far and near seeking divine encounter.
Held every first Friday of the month, the Prayer Adoration Virgil has become a beacon of hope where God, through the ministry of Fr. Odekunle and his prayer team, is transforming lives—healing the sick, delivering the oppressed, and restoring lost destinies.
During his homily, Rev. Fr. Odekunle emphasized that the ultimate reason for human existence is to “know God, love Him, and serve Him.” He warned against envy and malice, noting that those who oppose the progress of others are working against the divine will of God. He also condemned idolatry and spiritual pretense, asserting that those who serve other gods while masquerading as Christians are “wasting their time.”
“We must know God in spirit and in truth,” the priest declared, adding that the knowledge of God is not limited to academic or philosophical understanding but is rooted in a deep spiritual relationship. Quoting Philippians 3:10, “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection…”, Fr. Odekunle called on Christians to seek a personal, experiential knowledge of God.
He further highlighted forgiveness as a divine attribute, stating that those who truly know God must reflect His forgiving nature in their daily lives.
Fr. Pius Odekunle is a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo, Osun State, and continues to be a vessel of God’s grace in the lives of many through this monthly spiritual gathering.
The next Prayer Adoration Virgil is scheduled for the first Friday of June, and all are invited to attend.
