24-Year-Old Biase Lady Battling Addiction and Peer Pressure Needs Urgent Help

A disturbing story has emerged from Abuja involving a 24-year-old lady from Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State who is reportedly battling drug addiction and the consequences of peer pressure.

Akahi News gathered that the young woman, a university graduate with a degree in Banking and Finance, was recently discovered inside a private residence in Abuja, allegedly picking ladies’ personal belongings. Witnesses revealed that she had been involved in what is locally known as “hook-up” activities while struggling with drug dependency.

A Cry for Help

Sources familiar with her situation explained that she had fallen victim to peer pressure, which pushed her into the lifestyle she now regrets. Despite being academically qualified, she has been unable to secure meaningful employment, a factor that reportedly worsened her vulnerability to substance abuse and exploitation.

Community members and well-wishers have since called for urgent intervention, appealing for material support, spiritual guidance, and psychological therapy to help the young woman rebuild her life.

Concerned citizens are urging mental health experts, social workers, and faith-based organisations to step in, noting that without timely support, her situation could spiral further out of control.
