A major highlight of the meeting was the constitution of an Electoral Committee, a move widely described by participants as crucial to ensuring a transparent, credible, and orderly election process. Members emphasised the importance of fairness and due process, noting that the credibility of the association’s leadership depends largely on the integrity of its electoral framework.

Akahi News learnt that, following the establishment of the committee, the floor was opened for nominations to select a candidate who would represent the Ile-Ife Zonal Chapter at the forthcoming ATSO National election. Several nominations were made, discussed, and carefully considered in line with the association’s guiding principles.

Participants reportedly commended the peaceful nature of the exercise, describing it as a sign of growing maturity within the Ile-Ife chapter of ATSO. Some members also stressed that such unity would strengthen the chapter’s voice at the national level and enhance its influence within the broader association.

Strong Participation from Members

Akahi News gathered that members expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the meeting, particularly the progress made towards election readiness and internal cohesion.
