CAC Ambassador Mike Premium Announces 24-Hour Business Registration via New Special Registration Portal

Lagos, Nigeria — The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has introduced a streamlined process allowing business registrations to be completed within 24 hours, according to Micheal Nwabufo, known as Mike Premium, the CAC’s Ambassador. The announcement was made on Friday during a press briefing in Lagos, where Nwabufo, a renowned talent and brand manager, highlighted the features of the new Special Registration Portal (SRP).

With a looming July 7 deadline, Nwabufo urged business owners to take advantage of this efficient system to comply with mandatory business registration requirements set by the CAC and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The SRP facilitates business registration and documentation within a single day, directly accessible through mobile banking apps.

“There is a crucial deadline for agents and fintech companies to register their businesses,” Nwabufo stated. “Compliance is mandatory under new regulations aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability within the financial sector. The deadline ends on July 07.”

The introduction of the SRP is designed to simplify the registration process, enabling businesses to register seamlessly through their mobile banking applications. Nwabufo encouraged business owners to visit the official CAC website or consult their banking application for more information and to access the portal.

Highlighting the importance of business registration in Nigeria, Nwabufo emphasized that it promotes uniqueness and trust among entrepreneurs. He also noted the existing partnership between the Practitioners of Content Creating, Skit-Making, and Influencers Guild of Nigeria (PCCSIGN) and the CAC, which aims to support content creators and influencers in formalizing their businesses.
