By Joseph Iyaji | Akahi News
As the Igede community marks its annual Igede Agba festival today, 4th September 2025, Dr Clement Alegu has extended heartfelt greetings to friends, associates, and the entire Igede nation.
Dr Alegu, in his message, wished everyone a joyous and peaceful celebration, urging the people to use the occasion to foster unity, cultural pride, and progress. He described Igede Agba as a symbol of the community’s rich heritage and a time to reflect on shared values and aspirations.
The festival, celebrated every 4th of September, brings together sons and daughters of Igede land, both at home and in the diaspora, to honour tradition and promote cultural continuity.
Dr Alegu encouraged all celebrants to embrace peace and harmony while working collectively towards the socio-economic growth of the Igede nation.
