Morning Prayer by Rev. Father Peter Oluseyi Adeyemi of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Pro-Cathedral Church
Lagere, Ile-Ife, August 2nd, 2024
This morning, Rev. Father Peter Oluseyi Adeyemi, the parish priest of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Pro-Cathedral Church, shared a heartfelt prayer with his congregation. His message was filled with faith and hope as he invoked God’s guidance and protection for the day ahead.

Rev. Father Adeyemi began his message with a comforting verse from the Psalms: “The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I shall want, fresh and green are the pastures where he gives me repose. Near restful waters he leads me to revive my drooping spirit.”
He then led the parish in prayer:
“Almighty God and Father, yours is the day and yours is the night. Thank you for granting us a peaceful night’s rest. Thank you for a bright new day and for all the good things you have prepared for our benefit. Accept our thanksgiving, Lord.
Lord Jesus, you have made us the light of the world, help us to live in the light of your presence. Guide our thoughts, our words, and our actions; may all we do be pleasing to you.
Lord God, help us to avoid wrongdoing today. Keep us safe from the violence of other people. Strengthen in our hearts the faith you have given us, so that no trials may quench the fire your spirit has kindled within us. Bless us this day from your abundance in glory.
We make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Praying for your intentions.”
