Osun Hospital Staff Celebrate Redeployment of Nurse With Mega Banner
By Joseph Iyaji | Akahi News
Drama unfolded in Osun State as hospital staff printed a mega banner to celebrate the redeployment of a nurse identified as Mrs. Eunice Adekemi Olamijuwon, who was allegedly notorious for her harsh attitude towards colleagues and patients.

Staff Relief Turns Into Public Display
According to Akahi News findings, the nurse’s transfer sparked unusual jubilation among hospital workers, who reportedly pooled resources to design and mount a giant banner expressing their relief. The banner, which has since drawn public attention, carried messages of gratitude for her exit, symbolising what the staff described as the “end of an era of intimidation.”
Mixed Reactions From the Public
While some community members described the gesture as unprofessional, others saw it as a bold move reflecting the challenges many health workers silently endure under difficult supervisors or colleagues.
Medical stakeholders, however, cautioned that such issues should be addressed through official grievance channels to prevent escalation and protect the image of the health sector.
A Call for Better Workplace Relations
The incident has reignited discussions about workplace ethics and professional conduct in Nigeria’s healthcare system. Experts stressed the importance of conflict resolution mechanisms and the need to prioritise patient care above personal grievances.
As of press time, the management of the hospital and the Osun State Ministry of Health were yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
