Good morning my dear people of God.
O God, open our lips and our mouths will announce your praise. Incline to our aid o Lord and make haste to help us.
Let us pray:
Eternal loving God, early in the morning, we rise up to offer our prayer of praise and thanksgiving before we begin our day. We acknowledge that it was not alarm clock that woke us up in the morning, but your power and grace. Accept our prayers and thanksgiving.
Lord Jesus, you have overcome death to give us joy and have risen in glory to lift us to the heights; awaken our hearts and make us holy this day by the gift of the spirit. Look with kindness on us and keep us from all evil.
Lord God almighty, as we go out for our official duties and activities of today, go ahead of us to lead the way for us. Be beside us to support us, be within us to strengthen us and above us to bless us. Take control of our thoughts, words and deeds. In all things may we experience your divine favour.
