UNN Opens 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Registration

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has officially announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 Screening Exercise for admission into all programmes, inviting eligible UTME and Direct Entry candidates to complete their registration before the deadline.
Eligibility Criteria for UNN 2025/2026 Post-UTME Screening
According to a statement from the Office of the Registrar, only candidates who chose UNN as their first-choice institution in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 160 and above are eligible to apply.
Other key eligibility requirements include:
- Names on WAEC/NECO results must match exactly with those in JAMB records.
- Candidates awaiting November/December 2025 GCE or NECO results are not eligible.
- Applicants must be 16 years or older by 30th September, 2025.
Registration Fee and Payment Method
Applicants are required to pay a N2,000 processing fee via the Remita platform at any commercial bank or online using an ATM card.
UNN Post-UTME Registration Timeline
The online registration portal opens on Monday, July 14, 2025 and closes by midnight on Friday, August 15, 2025. Candidates are strongly advised to register early to avoid last-minute issues.
Step-by-Step Guide for UNN Screening Registration
- Visit the official UNN website – unn.edu.ng
- Click on UNN Portal at the top right corner of the page.
- Select Prospective Students → Online Application Form for 2025/2026 Admission Screening Exercise.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and generate an invoice.
- Make payment at the bank or online via ATM card.
- Return to the portal and re-enter your JAMB Registration Number.
- Complete your biodata, input verified O’Level subjects and grades, and upload required documents including:
- Birth Certificate
- Local Government Identification
- Testimonial
- First School Leaving Certificate
- JAMB Result Slip
- O’Level Results (one or two sittings)
- Review the Summary Page carefully before submission.
- Check the confirmation box, click Submit, and print the Acknowledgement Slip.
Direct Entry Candidates Must Also Register
UNN has emphasised that Direct Entry candidates who made the institution their first choice must also participate in the screening exercise. Such candidates must ensure their A’Level results have been verified by the Nigerian Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (NIPEDS).
Important Notes for Applicants
- All uploaded documents must not exceed 100KB in size.
- Dates of birth entered during registration cannot be altered later.
- Candidates should regularly check the university’s official website for updates regarding the screening exercise.
