Nigerian Air Force Opens DSSC Course 34/2025 Recruitment Across Multiple Fields

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of applications for its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 34/2025, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply across diverse professional fields, including engineering, medicine, and cyber specialties.

The official announcement, made on Tuesday via the NAF’s verified X handle, confirmed that the online application portal would be open from 27 August to 7 October 2025. Interested applicants are to apply free of charge through the official recruitment portal: https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.

Eligibility Requirements

According to the Force, applicants must meet the following criteria:

CRUSH OAU POST UTME, OAU PRE-DEGREE, OAU JUPEB At Akahi Tutors, Ile-Ife. Call 08038644328.
  • Must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
  • Must be between 20 and 32 years old; however, medical consultants can be between 25 and 40 years old.
  • Not applicable to serving personnel seeking Branch Commission. Personnel above 32 years are ineligible.
  • Serving personnel must be recommended by their Commanding Officer/Commander, must have served for at least 10 years, and attained the rank of Corporal.
  • Minimum height requirements: 1.66m for males and 1.63m for females.
  • Applicants must have no criminal convictions and must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit in line with NAF standards.
  • Minimum educational qualification: Second Class Upper Division.
  • Must possess an NYSC Discharge Certificate or Letter of Exemption.

Recruitment and Selection Process

The NAF disclosed that shortlisted candidates would sit for a Zonal General Aptitude Test at a date to be announced on the recruitment portal. Only successful applicants from the aptitude stage will be invited for the Selection Interview.

The Force stressed that the recruitment exercise is completely free of charge and warned applicants to avoid fraudulent individuals or platforms posing as intermediaries.

The DSSC programme remains one of the NAF’s most competitive entry routes, designed to attract highly skilled professionals into its ranks to support national security and technological advancement.
