NIGERIANS TAKE TO THE STREETS TO PROTEST BAD GOVERNANCE
Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Owerri, and Abeokuta – Nigerians across various states took to the streets today to protest against bad governance, economic hardship, and suffering.

In Abuja, a protester was seen storming the streets, citing hunger as the reason for their action. “Hunger brought me out,” the protester said.
In Lagos, security operatives were deployed to Ojota, a popular protest ground, but no protesters were in sight yet. However, a group gathered in the Alausa area, claiming they were not protesting but “rallying against violent protest”.
In Port Harcourt, youths took to the streets to protest economic hardship, chanting “We are suffering”.

In Owerri, banks, markets, and business establishments were closed in anticipation of protests, but protesters had not yet arrived.

In Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, the situation remained calm, with major roads seeming deserted and security operatives deployed to strategic locations.
The protests, which were planned to take place across the country, aim to draw attention to the country’s economic woes, corruption, and poor governance.
As the situation continues to unfold, one thing is clear – Nigerians are demanding change and an end to bad governance.
