By Joseph Iyaji | Akahi News
The Catholic Diocese of Osogbo has announced the third phase of its Marriage and Family Life Training programme, scheduled to take place on the 19th and 20th of September 2025.

The training, organised under the Marriage, Family, and Human Life Commission and led by Rev. Fr Patrick Ajayi, aims to strengthen Christian marriages and build healthier family relationships within the diocese.
According to details shared by Rev. Fr Patrick Ajayi, the theme for this phase is “Capacity Building in Marriage & Family Life,” with a focus on equipping couples and family life leaders with practical skills for stronger homes and harmonious relationships.
Key Areas of Focus
The third phase will cover four major areas:
- Communication Skills in Marriage and Family Life – helping couples improve understanding and connection in their homes.
- Peace Building and Conflict Resolution – providing tools to address disagreements constructively.
- Building Intimacy as a Process – teaching couples how to nurture closeness and affection over time.
- Management of Temperaments and Personalities – offering insights on handling diverse character traits within families.
Commitment to Stronger Families
The Marriage and Family Life Training initiative has become a cornerstone of the diocese’s pastoral work, following the success of its earlier phases. By empowering couples with practical skills rooted in Christian values, the programme seeks to reduce family conflicts and foster healthier relationships in line with Catholic teaching.
Registration for the third phase is open to married couples, family life coordinators, and those preparing for marriage across the diocese.
For further information, interested participants are encouraged to contact the Marriage, Family, and Human Life Commission through the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo.
