Senator Jarigbe Commiserates With Prominent Cross River Families Over Bereavements

The Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has extended condolences to three prominent families in the state who recently suffered the loss of loved ones.

In Bekwarra Local Government Area, the lawmaker sympathised with Hon. Charles Eneji over the passing of his father, the late Chief Clement James Obiaje Eneji, who died on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the age of 87.

The deceased was a respected elder statesman, widely acknowledged for his immense contributions to the development of Bekwarra and the entire Cross River North Senatorial District. Senator Jarigbe described him as an “Iroko,” symbolising his towering influence and legacy, and prayed that God grants his soul eternal rest while giving the family strength to bear the irreparable loss.

Accompanying the senator on the condolence visit were Chief John George, Prof. Zana Akpagu, Mr. Egar Mgbantul, Hon. Kingsley Agabi, and Mr. Isaac Okpokpo, among other associates.

In a related development, Senator Jarigbe also extended condolences to Rt. Hon. Larry Odey on the passing of his father-in-law, offering prayers for the peaceful repose of the deceased.

Similarly, in Ogoja, the lawmaker visited the family of Mr. Anthony Ejeh following the death of his mother, the late Madam Helen Ila Igbe. He prayed that God receives her soul and comforts the family in their grief.

Senator Jarigbe noted that the passing of these respected figures represents not only personal losses to their families but also a collective bereavement for the people of Cross River North.
